Chubb began its story as a marine underwriting business in New York City in 1882. Their initial success was built on preventing disasters before they occurred. One of the Chubb principles is “never compromise integrity”. They currently service customers all over the world.
Chubb’s insurance plans are broken out into personal and business plans. Personal options cover areas like auto, home, valuables, fine watercraft, and other substantial assets.
Personal Auto
Masterpiece® Auto Preference® is a plan that offers substantial savings in particular for people who know cars and understand money. With this plan, customers can choose the repair shop they use and have an agreed upon value option. This means, that whatever value the car is set at, it stays locked for an agreed upon amount of time. So if the car is totaled or stolen, the customer receives that amount. Chubb even waives the deductible.
Worldwide Liability Coverage is for customers that carry a minimum of $1 million of auto liability coverage. They will automatically receive liability coverage worldwide. This is a substantial benefit as most policies do not provide coverage outside the United States.
Business Insurance
Chubb’s Business Insurance Solutions includes property and casualty products like umbrella liability and their flexible approach allows for customers to choose the best options for their needs. Many of the business products have been designed to meet the needs to specific industries like banks and law firms, while other solutions are suited for environmental needs, property and casualty, and surety. Chubb’s Specialty Health Care Insurance was created to fix critical exposures that face health care organizations and their employees.
