The Tuition Rewards Program can earn discounts for members with children planning to attend college. This program is at no cost to the customer. Tuition Rewards equal 5% of the annual value of the customer’s annuity. Also offered are financial workshops for customers. Some of these programs include retirement planning, cash management and protecting assets. The programs are flexible so it can be done at the best time for customers, rather than the representatives.
The Solutions program is available for those requiring extra help with insurance and retirement planning. Representatives develop a tailored financial solutions plan for whatever their customers require. Horace Mann also offers coverage for auto, property, life, long-term care, disability, and employer benefits.
Horace Mann’s homeowners insurance covers your house, as well as the garage, personal property and personal liability if someone is injured at your home. Life insurance policies include four different types of coverage: term, whole, universal, and variable.
Long-term care is also available for those with a chronic illness or condition require medical and support services. Provided in their long-term care plans are home care, adult day health care, and care in assisted living or skilled nursing facilities. Horace Mann also has Disability insurance to protect members’ salaries. These plans allow for an income when a regular income is disrupted due to sickness or accident.
As part of the employer benefits, representatives work with educators to help maximize benefits as well as augment them as necessary. Some benefits packages include group life, group accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), employee-purchased group disability and 403(b) annuities and 457(b) deferred compensation annuities.
